Abbot

Abbot is both a software and a philosophy in management system design and document structure. It does for a quality management system what a subject indexing catalogue does for a library, and then produces a menu driven method of locating documents in the system.  It is big enough to include other systems such as Health & Safety, Environmental, IT Security, Administration, Personnel, Finance etc, but can be used to advantage for the smallest systems.

Abbot comes in three parts. First, a manual explaining a philosophy in management system design and document structure. Secondly software called Abbot Editor which is used to construct and amend the system.  Thirdly Abbot Viewer used by anyone wanting to view and use documents in the system.  Abbot handles all file formats (Adobe, Corel, Microsoft, WordPerfect etc). It runs on all operating systems from Windows® XP.

Abbot can be purchased as the stand-alone programme (it is straightforward to implement), or with help to assist in implementation. It can be part of Dinosaur Elimination.
